Mission
OWN is building fixed-rate onchain mortgage rails: long-term isolated loans, installment repayments, no margin calls, and no forced asset sale.
Your job is to bring DeFi-native and family-office capital into the first OWN mortgage deals, build lender trust, and turn early transactions into repeatable capital flow.
This is a hands-on BD role, not an advisory seat.
What You'll Own
- Build and manage the capital partner pipeline across DAO treasuries, DeFi funds, crypto-native lenders, family offices, private allocators, and invite-only individual lenders.
- Secure capital commitments for fixed-rate digital asset mortgages.
- Help close 3-10 early deals with credible borrowers, conservative LTVs, clear risk disclosures, and fixed-rate terms.
- Develop lender-facing materials: short pitch decks, deal memos, capital partner updates, risk-framework explainers, and follow-up notes.
- Source distribution partners across wallets, portfolio trackers, exchanges, tax platforms, custody networks, and treasury tools.
- Convert strategic interest into concrete next steps: signed terms, capital allocations, partner referrals, integrations, or repeatable dealflow.
- Maintain disciplined CRM hygiene: targets, intros, objections, expected capital, next steps, probability, and close timeline.
- Feed market feedback back into product, legal, risk, and underwriting workflows.
Capital Targets
- DAO and protocol treasuries seeking aligned yield.
- Family offices looking for fixed-income exposure with crypto-native upside.
- DeFi lenders and portfolio managers interested in fixed-rate, real-world-secured or overcollateralized opportunities.
- Crypto-native high-net-worth lenders writing USD 10k-1m tickets.
- Strategic capital partners who can repeatedly fund or distribute mortgage opportunities.
First 90 Days
- Build a qualified list of 100+ capital and distribution targets.
- Secure 30+ qualified conversations.
- Produce a clear objection map covering yield, duration, collateral, custody, enforcement, smart contract risk, servicing, and liquidity.
- Help secure the first serious capital commitments or indicated allocations.
- Identify 5-10 experienced lenders or partners who can help standardize LTV, loan duration, covenants, and collateral terms.
First 6 Months
- Help fund the first mortgages.
- Establish a repeatable lender funnel for fixed-rate mortgage capital.
- Build a small but credible network of DAO, DeFi, and family-office capital partners.
- Progress 1-2 serious distribution partnerships toward signed referral or integration paths.
- Help turn manual deal work into a repeatable origination and capital formation process.
Ideal Profile
- 3-8 years in business development, fintech, crypto, payments, DeFi, capital markets, private credit, structured products, or financial services.
- Comfortable selling to both crypto-native and traditional capital allocators.
- Understands DeFi enough to speak credibly about collateral, custody, yield, DAOs, stablecoins, smart contract risk, and onchain liquidity.
- Understands finance enough to discuss lender risk, duration, repayment, servicing, disclosures, enforcement, and institutional diligence.
- Strong written follow-up and deal discipline.
- Prague/Central Europe network preferred.
- Able to operate without a large brand, large budget, SDR team, or polished enterprise sales machine.
Strong Signals
- Has sold or partnered in crypto, fintech, payments, custody, tokenization, RWA, private credit, or structured finance.
- Has relationships with DAO delegates, DeFi funds, family offices, OTC desks, custody providers, crypto funds, fintech banks, or treasury teams.
- Has worked around MiCA, AML/KYC, regulated digital assets, custody, payments, EMI, or bank partnerships.
- Can turn vague strategic interest into committed next steps and funded transactions.
Not Looking For
- Pure mortgage broker with no crypto fluency.
- Pure crypto marketer with no capital-formation discipline.
- Senior advisor who wants fees but will not execute weekly pipeline work.
- Enterprise salesperson who needs a mature brand and large support team before acting.
Compensation
50,000-80,000 EUR base + performance per deal.
Equity/options may be included for candidates who materially help build OWN's repeatable capital and distribution channels.
